Study On The Selection Of Dominate Industry In Anhui Province

The level of development of regional economy depends on the reasonableness and effectiveness of industry structure; however, the latter depends on dominant industry formed by region. Therefore, we can reach this conclusion: the power of fast development of the whole regional economy and industry branches root in the choice of dominant industry.Beginning with the definition of dominant industries, the thesis expounds the basic theory and choosing standards of dominant industries; determines the principles of connection, market demand, technological progress and comparative advantages, and sets up the index system of demand, technology, scale and industry advantage according to the practical situation of Anhui Province and stages, regions and connections. Household electric appliances, electric power processing, metal products and transportation product are considered as Anhui's dominant industries by using the evaluation system. Some suggestions could be put forward from fast development of dominant industries and promotion of dominant industries to leading industries: paying attention to continual development, accelerating technological transformation, enhancing workers' quality, strengthening product of basic fittings, reinforcing foreign investment and boosting centralization of industries.
