To ensure proper production management in petrochemical industry, all kinds of materials must be supplied in time. With fast development of modern information technology and science technology, the means of traditional purchase can't meet with materials supply for enterprise development. The quality of management to supply chain has become core factor which confine survival and development of corporation. It is an important of how to use resource of supplier efficiently, improve and optimize management of material purchase and supply chain gradually.Lanzhou petrochemical company, as a State-owned major enterprise, gave full play to superiority of centralized-purchase in heavy material purchase. The subject analyzed in present situation, characteristic, flowsheet and means of material purchase which were taken charge by purchase department. These materials include general material, equipment, spares and electric appliance, etc. Combined with production need, main cause was found out, and more effective purchase mode was brought up by deeply analyzing problem of actual operation state. Consequently, the ideas which solve those problems were provided for further standardizing materials purchase.
