Information technology applications by firms in China have increased rapidly over the past two decades. These applications have not only affected firm' s the way of producing products, providing services, but also affected the organization structure of the firm. The allocation of decision-making power is one of the key variables in the organization design. As the important affected factor to the configuration of decision rights, information technology' s applications in what way influenced the allocation of decision-making power. More centralized, or decentralized? This is a hot issue in both home academe and abroad academe.This thesis examines how the different information technology influences the decision-making power by using the Structural Equation Modeling. Our sample is the 400 different industrial companies in our country. Results of empirical analysis indicate computing technology effects the centralization positively, and communications technology effects the decentralization positively. Both of the results are notable.Based on the empirical results, we put forward suggestions to the enterprise in accordance.
