The small world phenomenon (also known as the small world effect) is the hypothesis that everyone in the world can be reached through a short chain of social acquaintances. The concept gave rise to the famous phrase six degrees of separation after a 1967 small world experiment by social psychologist Stanley Milgram which suggested that two random US citizens were connected on average by a chain of six acquaintances. Some research has been done in this area since the publication of the original paper. In 1998, Duncan J. Watts and Steven H. Strogatz published the first network model on the small-world phenomenon– The Small World Network (also named as Watts-Strogatz model, WS model as a short). The WS model is simple and classic, but hard to use as the basement of the online-society build. In this paper, we have indicated a new model– Extended-Small World Network model (ESWN model as a short) which constructs by the random link the sub-network to WS model in probability q. The simulation experiment in Java has showed that ESWN model has low characteristic path length and high clustering coefficient just as the WS model, and in some case, the new model has better network characters than WS model.Lack of trustworthy the users'reputation information is one of the most major problems in the online-society. Some research has done to building new online reputation management system which has better efficiency. But most of these system are lack of flexibility because the center management and other factors which bring out by the topology of their base-network.In this paper, we indicated a new online-society model which based on ESWN. The information transfer along the friend chain in this model so that the trust information can transfer along the path. The reputation management system in the model is distributed and has more flexibility.
