Evaluation And Research On The Level Of Foreign Trade Development Of Jilin Province

This project is a submodel of the research on the external economy development of Jilin Province, which is corporately done by the Jilin financial office, commercial office and Jilin University. With the state economy continuously development, the daily faster pace of economic globalization, the greater volume of international trade between countries and the implementation of policy of prospering northeast China former industrial base , the effect of developing foreign trade economy is becoming more and more important for the economic prosperity, especially, of a country and a region.The international and domestic environment of developing foreign trade economy for Jilin province is improving because of constant development of the international economic situation and system, China's entering into WTO, Great Commercial and Economy policy, the propelling effect of going-outside strategy and the development of China's domestic and external economy. While, various challenges, accompanying with great opportunities, are standing in front of developing foreign trade economy for Jilin Province. Although many remarks have been achieved in foreign trade field of Jilin Province, we still need to clearly recognize that in such a long period, Jilin, as an internal province, domestic economy is always supporting and leading the mainstream of provincial economy. Thus, great gap is still existed, comparing with other international market, and many problems are urgently needed to be resolved. Wholly, the foreign trade economy of Jilin Province is not that good, so the optimization of the structure of import and export and narrowing the gap existing in different cities and states are expected.Under such a circumstance, establishing a scientific evaluation system are needed for the sake of further deeper analysis and research and ,eventually, find the hurdles and breakpoint to the true and creditable resource to the development of foreign trade economy of Jilin province.Concerning on this kind of problem, this thesis, firstly, focuses on the theoretical precondition that some foreign trade relative theories are researched: the traditional trade theory, the principle of foreign trade, the principle of trade protection. Besides, the history of foreign trade economy of Jilin as well as the current condition is reviewed, therefore a solid theoretical foundation is completed per these principle researches for the further research on the foreign trade development level. In chapter two, section four, the present relative research of China is reviewed , which, on one hand, builds the theoretic foundation for this thesis; on the other hand, directs ,more clearly, the way and viewpoint to research.Following, the evaluation indexes, in line with the real conditions, are sorted out from four aspects that are the volume of development, structure, speed and benefit. In order to make the important percentage of the indexes, after the deeply analysis of these indexes, the qualified analytical hierarchy process and quantitative entropy method are used. By using these indexes, the vertical and horizontal evaluation to the development level of foreign trade of Jilin province is carried out. Based on this evaluation, in the aspect of B level index, further analysis and research on the development level of foreign trade in Jilin province is done, which uncovers the real level scientifically.Recently, the researches on development level of foreign trade are mostly on the theoretical stage, though some of them specified in some aspect, while part of these researches involves some specific and concrete methods and resolving framework. But, the detailed research on development level of foreign trade in some region or province can not be found. Therefore, the evaluation analysis in the means of math and theory to a certain special region owns some academic and realistic meaning. The achievement points in this thesis can be summarized as follows:1. In line with the real development of foreign trade in Jilin Province, based on the methods and principles of sorting out index and establishing model, the index evaluation system of development level of foreign trade in Jilin Province is initialized in the aspects of volume ,structure ,speed and benefit.2. The percentage of each index in the evaluation system is decided by means of hierarchical analysis and entropy method. The values of each index are calculated according to recent data of foreign trade in Jilin province, and synthesized value is achieved after inputting these values to the index evaluation system. The vertical comparison is proceeded in line with the yearly data of Jilin Province. Meanwhile, the horizontal comparisons of average development level of foreign trade in twenty provinces are done on the baseline of foreign trade development in 2005. Finally, a comparatively more direct and clear evaluation to the development level of foreign trade of Jilin Province in China is achieved, thus the objective appraisement is presented.3. On the base of index evaluation and analysis as well as utilizing relative data and chart, the whole foreign trade condition of Jilin Province is qualitatively evaluated in the aspects of trade volume , structure, speed and benefit.
