On Construction Managers' Certification Management In The Construction Course

Construction management system has gone through two phases which are experimental and development in China. It is 19 years from experimental to present. During this process, although the management system has taken lots of advantage and got excellent expectation, there are some problems in it. One of the problems is the bad management of the three targets in construction. Because of some uncertain factors, during the construction process there are usually some problems such as the change of quantity bill. One of the factors is management of construction certification, which is the effective measure and last guard of the control of the three targets of the construction. The certification plays important role in cost, quality and time, but without any regulation because it's excluded in the construction pacts and drawings.In this research we do the analyse of the problems in the certification management. Then we set out from these problems and synthesize the factors which influence the certification management. Only when we identify and control these important factors, can the construction managers do better in certification management. In order to identify the relative importance of these factors by literature and interview in practical projects, this study adopts field research for this objective. Firstly two research hypothesis are put forward by literature review, the one is that these attributes in the literature affect the certification management, the other one is that these attributes can be summed up some factors and there are a few relative important ones. And then we decide a questionnaire for the client, construction project management firms and contractors according to the literature review and research hypothesis. The data from questionnaire are analyzed by principal component analysis. All of the data were analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences(SPSS). Secondly, five key factors in certification management were picked up, including the certification regulation, managers'cost performance, initiative of the managers'certification management, law system for project management and the managers'quality performance. Then the cause for these factors are generalize involving the management system the stuff and the law system for the project managers, the suggestion is advanced further. At the end of this study ,we discuss the localization in it and the research direction further.
