Since 1980s, organizational identity has been an important subject of the science of organizational behavior in the west, but it is still new in China.Organizational identity is a synthetic concept, which means the member has a feeling of consistency with its organization and with relevant behaviors. The member feels oneself belongs to the organization.Through literature collection, interviews and open questionnaire survey, the author works out a comparative mature questionnaire for the study of organization identity in enterprises, and then carries out a survey in the selected enterprises in Shandong and Guangdong provinces. The results are carefully collected and concluded for statistical analysis after the survey.Exploratory factors analysis reveals that organization identity in Chinese enterprises is a four-dimension structure, which is confirmed by the following confirmative factors analysis. Then through regression analysis and variance analysis, the author further explores the relation between the four organizational identity dimensions and its related factors, and how population statistical variables varies with organizational identity dimensions. The study results are listed as following:(1) The structure of organizational identity in chinese enterprises includes four dimensions: cognition, emotion, evaluation and behavior;(2) Confirmative factors analysis shows that four-dimension organizational identity structure is a ideal model;(3) Job involvement and organization citizen behavior are positively related with organizational identity, which means high degree of organizational identity brings more active job involvement and more obvious organization citizenship behavior;(4) Four population statistical variables varies greatly with organizational identity: working seniority, working seniority in the enterprise, position levels and the enterprise types. At the last part of this paper, the author brings out the value as well as the limits of the study, and points out the future study direction.
