In knowledge economy era, economic growth depends on progressing technology and promoting national character. The education is so important for them that it cultivates the corpuses that accomplish technology progress, makes human resources receive education as much as possible. As a result, education has become a guarantee to industry development, and it is our strategic choice to develop tourism industry. The coordinated development theory of industry and education in domestic and abroad and the practice of industrial development in economically developed countries proved the close relationship between industry and education, there is a coordinated development of interactive relationship between them.The tourism industry of Liaoning began from scratch, became matured, standardization and scale from small to large. The tourism industry has developed by leaps and bounds to become the leader of the third industry. Liaoning has become a major tourism province. In achieving the goal of a strong tourism province, it understands fully that the strong province needs strong personnel, and executes the"rely on science and education to rejuvenate the tourism"strategy in development of tourism industry. In this background, the most important thing is that we need the high-quality expertise as support in order to promote the development of the tourism industry in Liaoning. Whether the employee accord with the requirements of industrial development, whether the existing conception of the person with ability is accurate, and what kind of talented person is needed by tourism industry, all these will affect the development of tourism industry. The tourism education developed with the development of tourism industry, now it has become multi-channel, multi-faceted and multi-layer structure. Whether the tourism education under continuing to expand the scale geared to the tourism industry, whether the training of these professionals met the needs of the tourism industry, whether the educational structure accorded with industry demand, and so on, these questions will affect the development of tourism industry, and then affect the development of tourism education itself. All these will arouse to concern on whether the tourism industry and education of Liaoning is coordinated. The government which takes up the tasks of both the development of tourism industry and the management of tourism education is a macro-controller, has the responsibility to solve this problem very well, and make them coordinated development.Based on the theory of dialectical relationship between industry and education, furthermore to put forward the coordinated development of the interactive relationship between tourism industry and education. On this basis, through the analysis of the development of the status quo, characteristics and future trends of tourism industry and education combined with the actual situation in Liaoning, we found the inconsistency between industry and education, then summed up incommensurate and inconsistent problems in system, structure and cognition of tourism industry and education, at the same time pointed out the function of government is inconspicuous, say turkey to one and buzzard to another. On the basis of above analysis, put forward corresponding countermeasures mainly in government, industry, education, investigation and financing, especially emphasize the enormous role of the strength of the government and the tourism industry to the tourism education, optimize the tourism industry and education in Liaoning sequentially, offer references for them in order make coordinated development come true, actualize the sustainable development of tourism industry and education in Liaoning jointly.
