The International Trade Finance Development Research Based On International Settlement Business

With the advancement of economic internationalization and the entry into WTO, China has witnessed rapid development in the international trade sector, which not only contributes to the national economy but also provides vast market for international trade financing. However, on the one hand, traditional ways of financing can no longer accommodate with the development of economy and trade due to the increase of trade balance, changes of trade pattern and the restructure of imports and exports. A new way is in dire need. On the other hand, foreign banks are flooding into China. The competition in China's financial market becomes more intensified. If local banks fail to get real progress on financial innovation, they will undoubtedly end up with disadvantages. In recent years, Chinese banks have obtained great progress in the international trade financing sector. However, this business sector has just been started and it requires gradual perfection. Therefore, only by comprehensive studies into international trade financing through theories and practices, can we bring on reasonable and feasible development paths to effectively promote innovation in the sector, support the development of international trade and help domestic commercial banks to transform to international commercial banks.Based on the status quo of international trade financing sector both at home and abroad, this thesis absorbed and referred to related theories and experiences and made an analysis on the basic concepts and features of international trade financing, introduced international financing methods under traditional settlement and made a comparison based on collection and reading of related works, documents and real cases, then analyzed the western relative international trade financing innovation theories, expounded the necessary of international trade financing innovation, consulted the financing innovation of western country, for example, the innovation in conception, technology, mode of service, strategy of business development; The thesis also made an empirical research and case study on the status quo of international trade financing in China via statistics and qualitative analysis, and emphasized the development status of international factoring, forfaiting, structured trade finance existed in China, then analyzed the principal restriction factors at present: the mode of trade financing is single, and have no integrated product marketing system; the object of international trade financing is too concentrated, the main body of the marketing and credit department towards the specific trade financing customer is vacancy; the financing condition for the company is relatively harsh, etc. Then the thesis analyzed the restriction of society environment, rate of interest, foreign exchange, and so on.In the end, through deductive methods and theories on finance, economy and management, combing with our country practice, put forward the new theories of trade financing innovation in China: to establish the pattern of supply chain for trade financing, to seek the more efficacious credit management for trade financing, to join the challenge of third party of circulation, to set up the management idea of service for the middle or little business. Then the thesis imagined the innovation for trade financing product, for example, structured trade financing product composition, innovation for account sale financing, letter of credit in domestic, to establish trade financing electric platform, etc. Then, pointed out to found the effective interior control form and environment system. The above discussed how to create environment for China's international trade financing and endowed western innovation with a new meaning.The creative part of this thesis include that it incorporated administrative concepts into international trade financing system and that it pointed out the problems with international trade financing in China and how to utilize western innovation through case analysis. The inadequacy of this thesis is have more empirical analysis, but relatively lack some theoretical analysis, also, in view of the limited work experience and the source of material, the analysis of the innovation about products and management in trade finance is not perfect.
