Research On Living Cost And Security System Of Old Aged People In Rural Areas

The China population ageing is becoming a very serious problem as the family planning succeeded. Now about 60% of China population is living in rural areas, but there is no old-age security system due to the urban-rural dual system. The traditional way to solve this problem through the outcome of land and support from family will be much weaker as the development of China economy.This paper mainly focused on the cost of living in rural areas and old age security system .Through a survey in Yinan, this paper researched all the facts that affected the living cost of old-aged and found a method to estimate the standard of living cost. The result was that the standard of local living cost of old-aged in rural areas was RMB 1472.The standard of Shandong province and other provinces were researched by applying the same method.
