Study On Tourists Ethical Education In China

With the rapid development of "mass tourism", tourism has become a mass social economic activity. Simultaneously, more and more governments, tourism organizations and tourism researchers have focus on those ethics problems in tourism activities. Some Chinese tourists' immoral behaviors seriously undermined the "ancient civilization" and "nation of ceremonies" image of China; some of those immoral behaviors even have caused irreversible damage to tourist resources. Upgrading the quality of Chinese tourists' tourism ethics and treating travel misfeasance became urgent affairs in the further development of tourism.As a special temporary role, tourists are the core of the whole tourism activities and the impetus for the development of tourism. The most effective ways of reducing the negative reaction on environment and social caused by tourists is to fundamentally change tourists' traditional ways of thinking and values through tourists' ethical education.Tourist ethical education refers to using the principle of tourist ethics, focusing on the ethical behaviors and the ethical criterion that should be observed in tourism activities. Through various forms of education, tourism ethical main form certain tourist ethical concept, tourist ethical character and tourist ethical sentiment, thus, practice tourism activities accord tourist ethics. Tourist ethics education including company ethics education,exchange ethics education, ecological ethics education and the social ethics education.We should build Chinese tourists' ethical education system in three dimensions—from the national, the tourism industry and the society. From the national, restrict tourists by law. From the tourism industry, educate tourists by industry conventions, self-discipline, contractual agreement, industry products and the behaviors of practitioners. From the society, including media supervise community activities, school and family education.In a word, tourists' ethical education is the inevitable requirement of tourism development, and the insurance of the sustainable development of tourism. Tourists' ethical education should make full use of Chinese and foreign ethics resources, and focus on build up the Tourists' ethical education mechanism.
