Implementing the Stimulus-Organism-Response theory and its perspectives,this study empirically examines how the significance of self-disclosure elements can affect tourist perceived cohesion and intimacy during travel.Developing the tourist engagement attributes as a form of tourists expression in the traveling experience.Data in this study were collected through online surveys and analyzed using PLS software.A sample of 242 international students who have been visited destinations mentioned on the survey were conducted.This current research has threefold purpose:a)to validate self-disclosure impacts tourist engagement and satisfaction based on social psychology perspectives;b)to explore the primary significance between tourists utilize the moderating effect on the relationship between self-disclosure and tourist perceptions of relationships;c)enhance the mediating role of tourist perceived cohesion and their subjective intimacy between self-disclosure and engagement.Similarly,the relationship between engagement and satisfaction with tourist experience will examine.Findings suggest that self-disclosure directly enhance tourist cohesion and intimacy.Perceived cohesion has a significant direct effect on tourist satisfaction.In addition,perceived intimacy has an indirect effect on satisfaction,through tourist engagement.Also in this study,tie-strength negatively moderates its effect on self-disclosure which reflects on perceived cohesion and intimacy among tourists.The results of this study contribute to the development of the less popular destination from the perspective of interactions among tourists during their visitation.Theoretically,this study supports social interaction perspective between tourists and analyze their particular future behavior.
