In today's world, network began to spread into our life, that is to say, we already can't be separated from network. Every day, we are enjoying various service the network provides for us.The term of Competitive Intelligence appeared in the beginning of 1980's. After the Cold War, the world has been in peace relatively, while every state competes to develop the economy, thus the intense commercial competition has led to the appearance of enterprise competitive intelligence. In many developed countries, Competitive Intelligence has rose from the academic research to the application stage, among them, Japan enterprises have been taking the lead in this aspect. But in our country it also is at the pure academic research stage, the business community seldom applies it. It is in the most primitive junior stage to apply network to provide service for Competitive Intelligence. The network resources are rich, the service is varied, the speed is what the general service station cannot compare. If the role of the network can be fully played, the prewarning function of Competitive Intelligence will exhibit a new state: no matter whether you want to know the change in politics, law and management which affect the operation of enterprises, or predict the change in market need, or the action of the rival, the related information will be received completely, rapidly by the enterprise, in order to make preparation to reply to unexpected burst-out events. As one of source of up-to-the-minute data, Internet can seek on-line database and other resources. As one information source of Competitive Intelligence, Internet not only is an extra information source, but also a low cost way to transfer information to decision-makers. On Internet, marketing can obtains the knowledge about customers through the interactive website and the agent, on-line sale can reveal the information about prediction sale, thus can obtain competitive advantage in working out better productive plan and reducing stock, thereby allow manufacturing industry to choose suppliers freely, and know the production technology of rivals. The high management level can evaluate complex and changeable exterior knowledge, market condition and economic trend to prepare for more effective strategy plan.The content of thesis has realistic significance in that it not only makes network serve competitive intelligence better, but also perfects the theory system of network service to guide developing network service of Competitive Intelligence's prewarning.Starting with the interrelated concepts of Competitive Intelligence, the thesis introduces its work flow as well as common information source. After comparing network and other information source, analyzing the appliance of network in competitive intelligence, the thesis proposes constructing enterprise competitive intelligence prewarning platform supported by Internet, which includes enterprise intranet, extranet and Internet. At last, confronted problems in the special domain when the convenient service is provided, as well as the tactics to cope with these problems are analyzed.The thesis analyzed by going deep, obtaining valuable research results. It points out which network database and site can be look on as Competitive Intelligence source; By comparing search engines as intelligence collection tool, it is beneficial for enterprises to choose suitable search engine according to the different classification catalogue area of search engine. Itintroduces a new Competitive Intelligence implement——competitiveintelligence spider invented by Arizona University, then the difference between it and common search engine is analyzed, and the structure of the new implement is introduced, in order to help scholars to study related theory further. Writing the thesis, the author synthetically uses many qualitative methods such as analogy, data statistic, trend forecasts, demonstration analysis and so on, and then elaborates the support of network comprehensively in the prewarning function of Competitive Intelligence.
