Transportation system is an important sub-system in the entire logistics system, which may occupy 40% of the entire enterprise logistics cost. Reducing the transport cost becomes the first place in order to reduce the whole logistics cost. One automobile manufacturing enterprise's data indicate that the average vehicle load factor will be higher if the auto parts delivered by not supplier himself but a third party logistic service provider (3PL). Through the outsourcing project of auto parts logistic transportation, this enterprise's transport cost will have an effective reduction. This paper studies the auto parts logistics transport price decision problem which is the first task of this project.Chapter one gives us the study background and significance, study objective, study situation at home and aboard. Chapter two establishes the VRP model about the auto parts transport price decision problem and introduces different kinds of algorithms, especially genetic algorithm. Chapter three presents the design of genetic algorithm to solve VRP, then programs the algorithm with VB language and optimizes the parameters of algorithm through an example. Chapter four gives us a practical application, after calculating the optimized delivery routes by algorithm program, it's easy to get the auto parts transport price. Chapter five is conclusion which contains a summary and suggestions for further task.The study of this paper not only provides the basis of transport price decision in outsourcing project for the enterprise but also gives 3PL himself algorithm support on the raising of transportation efficiency. It's useful and practical for both sides'logistics cost decrease.
