The application of MRP- II system has become an effective tool to combine information technology and management thoughts.MRP- II system as a datamation integration, can realize the consolidation of material flow, information flow and capital flow. To apply the CIMS whose main function is planning and control to the enterprise and optimize the purchasing management, inventory management, sales management and finance management. Especially for the manufacturing, the core of industry, the implement of MRP- II becomes more urgent.This thesis takes Lear Changchun Interior Company as the study case, through the analysis of Lear Changchun current operation management situation, the author diagnoses the symptoms of the enterprise and bring the solution that the implement of MRP- II can help the enterprise out of difficulty. The author also introduces how to implement MRP- II system and the great economic benefit it can bring by her own experience participating in the whole process of MRP- II implement.Lear Changchun Interior Co Ltd is tier one JIT supplier of FAW-VW,its product is seats for Audi A6 and A6L. It doesn't implement MRP- II system at the beginning of company setup. With the rapid growth of company business in the short time, the weakness the information management restricts the company further development and leads to many problems. They are a) Raw material often in shortage and can't supply on time. b) in stock material can not match in set and leads to excess and obsolete. c) Long production lead time of finished goods leads to low labor efficiency. e) cash flow is slow and low turnover rate f) the rapid change and growth of customer's demand makes operation management and plan hard to follow.In such case, to apply MRP- II system and to implement business process redesign optimizes the enterprise purchasing management, inventory management, finance management, sales management and quality management, which brings improvement and benefit to the enterprise. a) The enterprise operation data accuracy is improved. b) Information flow internal and external is more smooth. c) Inventory is reduced sharply. e) Production cost is reduced greatly.Based on the problem Lear Changchun facing, the author makes analysis and brings up the solution that to implement MRP- II system is the key to solve the problem. The author applies theory to experience, introduces the whole process of MRP- II system implement at Lear Changchan plant. The preparation process includes team building, software evaluation, user training and data collection. The implement process includes the application of each function modules, including purchasing management, inventory management, finance management, sales management and quality management. In this thesis, the author also introduces how to check and accept the MRP- II system and upgrade it after implement it. In the forth chapter, the author introduces the six stages of MRP- II implement, team building, system evaluation, implement, verification and switching. And the author put forward the five key factors during the successful implement, there are the support from higher management, business process redesign, excellent project management, user training, the complete and accurate data preparation.Hereby, the author addresses the influence and effect after MRP- II system implement at Lear Changchun, a) Improve cost management and control. b) Speed up the material flow and capital flow. c) Enhance cooperation of each department. d) Enhance customer's satisfaction. e) Shorten new product development lead time. f) Set example for those enterprises that are implementing or are going to implement MRP- II system. The implement of MRP- II system enhances the enterprise management and operation efficiency, shortens production and supply lead time and improves production management. Inventory drops and value decreases. The whole plant working efficiency is improved and logistic cost and production cost is better controlled. The MRP- II implement brings great benefit to the enterprise and makes great contribution to the information management.At last, the author higher appraised the MRP- II implement effectiveness and economic benefit based on quantized data. First, inventory drops sharply from 70 million to 20-40 million RMB. Production cost decreased 3%. Storage area reduced and logistic cost reduced from 30000 to 10000 RMB by enhancing inventory accuracy and reducing storage quantity. Inventory annual turns rate increased from 20 to 50. Cash flow rate improved form 80 days to 40days. Production stop time is reduced and efficiency is improved 10%. Order delivery lead time also reduced 2 days and enhanced customer's satisfaction.The author combines two years studying experience in industry engineering field at management college of Jilin University and years of working experience at Lear Changchun plant Logistic department, base on these knowledge and experience, the author makes diagnose based on Lear Changchun current symptom. And draw up the conclusion that only the implement of MRP- II can help the enterprise out of difficulty situation and continuously developing. Successfully implemented MRP- II system in Lear Changchun and applied it purchasing, inventory, sales, quality and finance management. Enhanced Lear changchun operation management level and realized information management in Lear Changchun.Finally, the author would like to share the successful experience with those enterprises, who are going to implement MRP- II system and give them some encourage and ideas. |
