Study On Industrial Organization Of The Service Industry In Shaanxi Province Based On The SCP Model

The service industry is the natural product of social economy and civilization which develop into a certain stage, it effectively promotes the development of social economy and civilization, and in particular, it helps accelerate the improvement of the living condition, and deepens the social control and social spiritual level degree. From the history of the development of the world economy, the service industry replaces agriculture and industry as the first and largest industry in the national economy is the inevitable trend of human economic development. The level of development of the service industry has become a major symbol of measuring a country or regional production and the degree of social development of the market economy.In recent years, the sustained development of the service industry in Shaanxi Province, in expanding the overall size of the service industry, and in improving the internal structure of emerging services sector has also enjoyed rapid development; fixed assets investment and consumption are growing rapidly. While compared with the developed countries and regions, the development of service industry in our province still contains many problems, such as the growth rate of the service industry and its contribution to the national economy of the province is rather low, the internal structure is relatively unitary, the capacity of absorbing labor is comparatively weak, the development between regions is uneven, the internal differences are huge, the organization of service industry is not quite reasonable, and so on. Therefore in order to promote sustainable, healthy and rapid development of the national economy within the whole province, ease the employment pressure, raise people's living standards and accelerate the strategic adjustment of economic structure, and build a well-off society, we must vigorously develop services industry.This paper at first analyzes the present state of the service industry in Shaanxi Province, compares it with the developed areas in China, and reaches the conclusion of the gaps and problems that exist between the service industry in Shaanxi Province and in other domestic developed provinces and regions. Secondly, by utilizing the theory of SCP paradigm, respectively from the market structure, market behavior and market performance of service industry in Shaanxi province, industrial organization province empirical analysis, empirically analyzes the industrial organization, explains in detail the factors and causes , and comes to the problems that exist in the organization of service industry in Shaanxi Province. Finally, as regards to the current situation and existing problems of the services industry in Shaanxi Province, the paper proposes the reasonable policies and suggestions as to raise the organizational efficiency of service industry in Shaanxi Province.
