Multinational corporations already became the important constituent of the western area of our country economic development. Multinational corporations not only promote the capital and the labor of traditional production factors mobility, But in the international technology transfer and diffusion play an increasingly important role. The western area as an underdeveloped area in china, have attracted less FDI. But after China's accession to WTO, multinational corporations increased FDI in the western area and the intensity of technical input. Technical activities of multinational corporations generate some new changes. Under the circumstances of world economy, the enterprises of western area improve technology ability that not only depend on research and development all by themselves, but also flexible applicate external advanced technology and management experience, and realize the enterprise of western area improving technology ability. During summing up current state of FDI, using comparative analysis, statistical analysis and measurement of economic indicators analysis study on the western area for empirical analysis.
