Analysis Of The Role Of ASEAN In The East Asian Cooperation

End of the 20th century,a notable characteristic of East Asia international relations is that the region launched extensive cooperation between the countries.It is a new phenomenon that "10+3" and "16+1" as the main mechanism for regional integration in East Asia cooperation.Chinese and foreign academics have been of great concern.Currently East Asia is the world's most dynamic economic region;the requirements of regional cooperation in East Asia are also prominent.As for the future of East Asia cooperation,first of all,settle the driver issue. "Dominance" or "leadership" What does that mean? We believe that international cooperation can be a leader in the definition of the right to influence or dominant role, but also understandable for the international mechanisms and the development of defenders.East Asia cooperation from the history and reality of factors,the most suitable only ASEAN assume this responsibility.This thesis includes the introduction and four parts.In the introduction,I mainly talk about the aims and insignificance of my choosing this topic,researching conditions, researching methods,etc.In the first part,the theories of dominating power in regional cooperation are under the discussion,talking about the leading role of ASEAN in the East Asia cooperation.Up till now,on every levels,ASEAN plays the main role mainly,for no matter it'" 10+3"or"10+1"or East Asia Summit,it's the ten countries of ASEAN which played the role of leader and bridge.The reasons why ASEAN participates in and dominates in the cooperation of East Asia will be discussed in the second part.For the time being,the reasons why ASEAN can be the leader of the East Asia cooperation are as follows.First,ASEAN has the leadership of the regional cooperation in East Asia,which is the result of the international force Game in East Asia.Second,East Asia cooperation mechanism provided a system of protection for ASEAN to play a leading role in East Asia cooperation.Third,ASEAN have the leadership of the regional cooperation in East Asia, which is the result of its efforts to pursue.Last,ASEAN have the favorable conditions of playing leadership in ASEAN Asia cooperation.In the third part,I will make some researches on effective factors to maintain the dominating power of ASEAN in the future East Asia cooperation and integration,both from the inner and outside aspects.This thesis holds that dominating status of ASEAN in the East Asia cooperation isn't stable at all.During the coming course of this cooperation and integration,the problem of leadership or dominating power in the East Asia cooperation will show its significance,and during the struggles for this leadership, ASEAN will be faced with many difficulties and challenges inside as well as outside this region.In the four parts,I want to mainly talk about ASEAN's prospects of leading role in the future.The leadership of ASEAN is mainly based on the unique environment of East Asia.What dose ASEAN's leading role will happen in the future? We believe that ASEAN's dominant position will face a series of difficulties and challenges in the future of East Asian cooperation process and the integration.But if ASEAN make a series of fight adjustments,Face of these difficulties and challenges.I believe that ASEAN's leading role will continue to exist and showing a strong vitality in the foreseeable future.
