The old esteblished Chinese shops are not only the history concentration of an urban, but also the history concentration of a country. They have deep cultural inside information, strong historical & cultural value and economic value. And they are important carriers of Chinese culture and the history. But along with the economy development, overwhelming majority of these old shop brands today have vanished from the market, besides the few parts still maintaining vigorous, the Wuhan old shops are notexceptional.It's very important to rally the time-honoured Chinese old brands——notonly for protecting the cultural heritage of Chinese nation, but also promoting economic development, strengthening competitive power of the national economy, enlarging employment.This article takes Wuhan time-honoured brand as an object of study, choosing from the old esteblished Chinese brands . Mainly because Wuhan city situates at the autochthonous zone, and it is the connection region of both north and south culture, the overwhelming majority of old northern and southern shops gather in Wuhan city. Therefore, gradually it has formed the characteristics of the old Wuhan shops:complete types ,includeing the north and south style, glorious history. It's meaningful to study the the historical vicissitude of old Wuhan brands.This article is to achieve an effect of rescuing old Wuhan brands, mainly through combing its history, analysing the reasons of prosperity and declination, absorbing experiences & lessons from it. In this article,the author discussed the retrieval measures: Macroscopically, the government must strengthen the support and protection for the time-honoured brands; Microscopically, the time-honoured brands must rely on their own efforts to revive.They must profit from modern management, particularly modern brands strategies. The author hopes that the research on old Wuhan brands would be a contribution to the the old esteblished Chinese shops.
