Foreign Direct Investment, which called FDI, is a kind of invest that the enterprise having sustainable benefit in the operating business in a country outside the investor's country (economic region), which goal lies in controlling this enterprise's management and operation effectively. Since the reform and openning policy, the quantity of utilized FDI of our country grows quickly, playing a very important role in economy development, at the same time it becomes a main reason of the imbalance of regional economy development of our country. With the vigorous development of the eastern part of the economy and the application of a series of regional economic strategies such as development of the western region, revitalization of northeast China and other old industrial bases, how to utilize the resource advantage on the background of the strategy "middle rises" , attract FDI flowing into the central region should be pondered.This article take the influence of FDI on middle China as the object of study, based on three levels: Agent theory, Condition theory and the theoretical analysis of the economy impact of FDI on developing countries. Then the article unif ing the experience how Changjiang delta and Zhujiang delta using FDI to promote economy development, study FDI in China's development path through the crosswise comparison and the longitudinal comparison. Finally, through defining FDI technical progress factor to carry on a simple empirical analysis, taking four aspects to study the concrete influence which FDI imposing on the middle economic growth: the knowledge and the technical overflow, the trade payment and the industrial structure, unifing the specific location characteristics of middle China, using SWOT analysis model analyzes advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and challenges of FDI absorption of the central region, giving policy advice on how to attract FDI to promote economy development more efficialy. On the double background of the guiding ideology of region coordinated development and the implementation of "middle rises" strategy, the research of this article has theory and practical significance.
