Under the growing trend towards world economic integration, the linkages between regional economy and world one become closer than ever, as FDI plays a role in building bridges between them. By the end of 2004, China had actually utilized 562.1 billion dollars of FDI and had became the largest inward FDI country in the developing countries. The Yangtze Delta Region is the developing center of our country, and it is one of the best economic zones which have the largest market capacity and the best investment climate in our country, it had actually utilized 25.4 billion dollars of FDI in 2004, 41.89% accounting for the whole country's of this year. Along with the accelerating world economic integration, China's entry into WTO and the implement of stratagem to develop the west regions, the new economic running environment is taking shape gradually. So now the Yangtze Delta Region's crucial task is to fully excavate the potentiality of attracting FDI and improve the investment climate so as to attract FDI and realize the economy can develop continuously fast.The structure of this paper is as follows: Chapter one: On the foundation of survey theories of the location choice of FDI and the latest relevant researches of our country in this field, we analyze the influencing factor of investment climate based on the investment motivation of multinationals; Chapter two makes quantitative analysis with statistical method of FDI impact on economic growth of the Yangtze Delta Region, therefore proves the importance of attracting FDI in this region; Chapter three firstly introduces the actuality of attracting FDI in the Yangtze Delta Region, and then makes quantitative analysis of outstanding achievement and potentiality of the Region's making use of FDI; Chapter four introduces and evaluates the investment climate actuality of the Yangtze Delta Region, and compares the investment climate with the Zhujiang River Delta Region; Chapter five we put forward measures and suggestions to improve the Yangtze Delta Region's investment climate mainly from five aspects such asrestructuring the development zone , improving industry chain's overall arrangement, developing recycle economy, establishing green GDP idea, accelerating regional economic integration.
