Research On Sustainable Development Of Langfang Economic And Technological Development Zone

Over the past more than 20 years, development zones in China growing out of nothing,from breaking the ice to developing, have already become a development-zone system whichis diverse form, well-found function and spreading all over our country. As the experimentalarea of economic reform and opening policy in China, all levels'development zones havemade great contributions to our country. However, at initial stage of developing, because oflacking overall planning, lots of development zones belong to rough growth and have someproblems ubiquitously: running after economic growth exclusively and ignoreing economicgrowth fits in social, resources and environment. As the leading regional economicdevelopment, development zones are taking on the very important development mission andfunction in national economic growth and industrialization. So development zones must usethe scientific concept of development guide to adhere to the road of sustainable development.At first, this paper has summarized the theory of sustainable development and therelevance theory of development zone. And then, it researched on present situation of the LangFang Economic and Technological Development Zone (LFDZ). On this basis, the sustainablesystem has been divided into seven parts: Economic development, Society progress, Intensiveresources, Environment support, Technological innovations, Industry cluster and Externalpublic and made specific device to it. Designed the index system of sustainable development,including target floor, standards floor, domain floor and indicators floor, and 38 indices. Andthen, builded the synthetic evaluation model of sustainable development, and madedemonstration evaluation.Taking LFDZ as research object, this paper took the advantage of the time series databetween 2000 and 2006, and used the entropy and principal component analysis to indicesevaluation of sustainable development, and got the coordination indices, so we can observethe situation and the trend of sustainable development. And then, there was a synthetic analysisaccording the evaluated results in this paper. Finally, I propose the sustainable developmentsuggestion for LFDZ, according to the problems in the part of demonstration research.
