In the development of industry cluster at thesame time, a pressing matter of the moment is the transformation and upgrading ofindustry efforts to seek, from OEM to design,with independent R&D and the higherextend industry.This paper starts from the basic theory of industrial cluster theory, the electronicinformation industry characteristics,the successful case of Tianjin DevelopmentZone,Kunshan, Dongguan Shilong Town electronic information industry cluster, obtained through comparative analysis ofexperience, that the industry cluster in Yantaidevelopment zone should develop to multi-core type, domestic type, at the same timeto improve the ability of research and development, focus on brand building. Thedevelopment status, the electronic information industry cluster in YantaiDevelopmentZone of the key problems of the research,thought that the industrial clusterdevelopment zone of Yantai is facing a growth point of single, rising costs,innovationis not enough, the industry value chain of low-end, elements of the problem ofinsufficient supporting.
