Facing quickly growth of the east, exploitation of the west and development of the northeast, economic growth of central region seems to behind in China. And this phenomenon was paid great attention by many scholars and researchers at current. Not only has central economic growth relation with own region development, but also is a key factor to economy balance wholly, and which is a significant part of economic development stratagem of China. However, there is still a great deal of practical and theoretical problems to realize economic growth of central region. It is an important issue and hot question to make central economic growth stale and quick by using existing source, marketing and labor advantages.Regarding lagging economic growth of central region as the study object, this paper tried to reveal the driving forces for central economic growth and hope to put pertinently forward related suggestions and proposals. The paper combined qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, studied the gap between central and other regions, and according to economic growth theory created region economic growth model based on gray analysis theory, thus affirmed the primary determinants and advanced appropriate suggestions and proposals for central economic growth. This paper aimed to study determinants and corresponding policies for central economic growth, not only contributed to central development, but also had enlightening effect on region economic balance.Lastly, the result of study showed that compared with other regions, especially the west, economic growth of central region dropped behind authentically on growth speed and development level. In addition, there are clearly different on driving forces and growth paths among four regions of China. Through comparing with influencing factors to economic growth of other regions, the research also found that the realization of economic growth of central region should depend on owns advantage of backwardness, reinforce independent creation, expand foreign trade, encourage civil carve out, promote non-state-owned companies development and cultivate new-type labor-dense industries.
