Study On Development Of Personal Financial Business Of Chinese Commercial Banks

Before China entered the World Trade Organization, Chinese government had promised that the bank business would be totally opened to the overseas banks by the end of 2006. The time that the Chinese banks face the overseas banks competence has already come now. Under this background, it has strategic meanings of the Chinese commercial banks to develop their personal financial business.Facing the competition of the overseas banks, domestic banks need to use innovation of personal financial business as their new profit growing point, in order to lower the risk, stabilize the profit, and enhance their competitiveness in the global banking and finance marketThis paper relates theories and means to develop personal financial business more systematically, and submits some advices from the macro institution and regulations reforming to micro unit's behaviors. At the circumstance of the increasing quantity and better quality of personal financial assets, the paper also disputes the possibility and necessity to develop personal financial business of Chinese commercial banks. By using the comparative analysis method, the paper demonstrates the kinds of personal financial products in Chinese commercial banks less than that in developed country's banks and low technology in it, so there are large spaces for Chinese banks to develop it. And by using quantitative analysis method, the paper analyzes the relations between the productions and original productions with the competitiveness of Chinese commercial banks. From the strategic sight, the paper gave some advices to deal with the corporations and competence of Chinese banks.
