Currently the positioning business is a kind of value added mobile service with vigorous development. This also indicates the major trend for the development of these value added business in the future. This business aims to improve the services for supplying information to the mobile targets on basis on their geographic locations by taking good use of the GIS technique, space positioning technique and network communication technique within the mobile environment. In the near future the time of 3G is coming and the Olympic Game will be hold in Beijing. Every telecommunication dealers are facing a thesis, that is, how to develop the positioning business well. This thesis tries to make a further study on the developing positioning business from the aspects of marketing mode, design of product, strategies for fixing price, channel selection and propaganda making. At the beginning this thesis describes an actual picture of the current business development, then it enumerates problems came out during the development. At last it proposed some related solutions. In succession it proposes some developing strategies for the positioning business within the 3G times. At the end of this thesis, it proposed a usage mode of this positioning business for the Olympic and it tries to find a way for a large scale usage for this business.
