| As an emerging economy, virtual economy is making a wealth of business benefits, this thesis discussed the concept of virtual economy and analyzed the business model of and in virtual economy by using several management theories. Virtual economy is leading to new revolution in the WWW time by creating lots of business opportunities and its unique business model is also changing business mind of corporations and individuals. This thesis introduced virtual economy and relevant terms e.g. virtual assets and secondary market, furthermore analyzed business model of and in virtual economies for details by using Alex's business model template. In case study, the famous virtual world Second Life was discussed covering features, business model and activities. |
