An Analysis On Chinese Die & Mould Industry International Competitiveness By Diamond Model

Die & Mould are the essential equipment of the manufacturing industry,which are called"the mother of industry". China will be the new center of Die & Mould industry in the world. Our Die & Mould Industry is facing the opportunity to be developed quickly, so ,it is important to improve the competitiveness of our moulds.The title of the thesis is'An analysis on Chinese Die & Mould Industry International Competitiveness by Diamond Model'. With the characteristics of the Die & Mould Industry and the actuality, the author choose the Diamond Model for M. E.Porter to evaluate the Chinese Die & Mould Industrial competitiveness in the world .The thesis analyses the competitiveness in the respect of factor endowments,demand condition, related and supporting industries, strategy, structure, and rivalry, government and opportunities. Through studies of China's mould industry, we get the conclustion that the advantages of China's mould are mainly in low-cost labor resources and related supporting industries, huge market demand. But, there are still disadvantages, such as shortage of capital resources, unreasonable industrial structure, etc.In order to enrich the research, in the process of analysis of six basic elements and putting forward measures, the author also use Porter's three general strategies, value chain, industrial cluster theory as a theoretical basis, make analysis be more persuasive. Finally, give some suggestions to enhance the competitiveness.
