Data Mining is also called knowledge discovery in database in the data base founding.It is defined to pick up shield, unknown and uncommon, latent message and model in the large database or data warehouse. It is a new field with high value melt many theory and thchnology such as database, AI, computer studying, accounting etc. Association analysis, clustering analysis, forecast analysis, relational analysis are all key method of data mining.This paper focuses on the principle and technical means of data mining and its application in petrochina. First of all, It introduces the basic knowledge of data mining, the research content, the function of data mining and the process model of data mining. It also introduces some commonly used data mining tool. Secondly, this paper simply introduces the fund management analysis system of pertochina, including the background of actualizing fund management analysis system and the function of each module in the system. At last, this paper introduces the application of data mining in the case of fund management analysis system. The first case is about the application of clustering analysis in bill management analysis system. It includes clustering the regional companies, warning the regional company of lower credit in order to avoid the risk of fund management. The other one is about the application of temporal evolution analysis in program fund management analysis system. It forecasts the fund operation status based on gray forecast, exponential smoothing and gray Markov Forecast, and then to improve the accuracy of forecast, this paper finally adopts the combined forecasting model and shows the charts of analysis of the forecast.
