The financing difficulty is one of most troubling problems for the SMEs, and the inappropriate evaluation of the credit risk of SMEs is one of the most important reasons. This paper first introduces the practical situation of the SMEs'loaning and the reason for its difficulty. Then, the credit risk evaluation methods for the general enterprises are described, including Multiple discriminant analysis, Probit and Logit model, 5C, Non-Parameter Estimation, AHP and AI. After that, this paper analyzes the advanced models for evaluating the credit risk of SMEs abroad, which include adjusted KMV model, a model based on future income, one-factor model, multi-factors model, and Non-parameter Monte Carlo model, and discusses the parameters in these models, by means of reading academic papers. The relations between those parameters are discussed, in order to provide some guidance for the China's practical situation. In the evidence-based chapter, after introducing the necessity and particularity of the credit rating system for SMEs in China, this paper raises a new method for evaluating the credit rate of SMEs, which is based on Factor Analysis and Duality Element Relative Fuzzy Evaluation Method. Finally, by using the evidence of data from 14 enterprises in SSE, the whole process of building the database, standardizing the database, creating the financial evaluation model for enterprises are completed, so the original purpose is achieved to some extent.
