The Analysis Of Water Industry Development In Hebei Province And The Trend Of Mergers And Acquisitions

Water industry includes the activities of water resource, supply, saving, drainage, sewage disposal and recycle ,which construct a relative close industry chain. In the past years, the investment and operation of water industry was in the control of the government, private sectors were not allowed to enter into water industry until 2002. Consequently water industry is being one of the most rapidly developing industries in China and comes to front. So I choose the analysis of water industry development in Hebei province and the trend of mergers and acquisitions as my thesis.Water resource is quite scarce in Hebei province, which is typical in China. At the same time, water status is very complicated in Hebei, and there is imbalance in the distribution of water resource from south to north. Different city has different water demand in the future for it's people and economy. South-to-North water diversion project will have unknown impact on Hebei water market. In order to have a deep insight of the development of water industry in Hebei, this article makes a discussion in it from the viewpoint of both industry and capital. The author collected piles of statistical data, had an interview with most of the city water supply company, contacted with several famous investment institute, finally I have a clear comprehension in water industry and finished this article.In the first chapter, the article has a brief analysis of the background and significance of the theme, then introduces the content and method of the article. In the second chapter, the article makes a recapitulation of the water industry, it defines the industry's meaning and character, introduces the water industry's status and foreground, and then makes a labor of Hebei's water industry on it's resource and future. In the third chapter, the article analyze the Hebei's water industry on it's reformation and water price, makes some forecast on the balance of supply and demand in eleven cities, and estimates the impact of the South-to-North water diversion project. The forth chapter is the industry environment evaluation, which includes macroeconomy environment, policy environment and the industry management system. After upon chapters, in the fifth chapter, the article analyzed the water investor's intent, and researched the trend of mergers and aquisitions and the integration of water corporation. The sixth chapter is the discussion of the risks in entering the water industry and the precautions accordingly. Finally, The seventh chapter comes the conclusion.
