Since 1978, Chinese economy has registered an average increase of 10% owing to the reform and opening policy which reaches a considerable achievement focused by the whole world at present. The move of reform comes down to the adjustment and re-distribution among different social lines and levels. Regarding to the economic transition, the scholars, leaders and all the people pay more attention to the related issue of the income distribution. So this thesis analyses the labor's share in the period of systematical transition with the labor—capital distribution as a breaking through point. This thesis analyses the labor's share in the period of systematical transition based on the theory of income distribution and theory of human capital. One side, economic theory and practices in some other countries show that when the economic development has stepped on a certain stage, the labor's share should be substantially promoted. The other side, in the part of experiential analysis ,by investigating the labor's share since 1978,it shows that the labor's share has a trend of coming down. Compared with experience of other countries, it shows that the labor's share in China is obviously lower. In the last part of the thesis, on the basis of theoretical and experiential analysis, advices and suggestions on how to increase labor's share in China and promote economic development have been brought forward. However, this paper still has deficiency. First, the statistic index used in this paper has no general accepted standard and measures, and the statistic criterion of data is different in different period. Second, what studied in this paper only have focused on the changes of labor's share and its affected factors without dealing with such problems as the changes of capital's share, labor and capital's reasonable proportion and its effect on economic growth. All these questions need further study. This thesis is divided into four parts: introduction, theoretical analysis, experiential analysis, and advices. In the part of introduction (Chapter 1), the issue to study is put forward, concerned concepts are defined, the innovations and the study methods are introduced briefly as well. In the part of theoretical analysis (including Chapter 2 and Chapter 3), first, this thesis reviews the related research documents at home and abroad (Chapter 2). Second, the thesis has a retrospect on the development and advancement of distribution between labor and capital during the two-hundred years, which gives us a theoretical direction to study labor's share in the period systematical transition in China (Chapter 3).In the part of experiential analysis (including Chapter 4 and Chapter 5), by investigating the labor's share since 1978 and compared with experience of other countries (Chapter 4), it shows that the labor's share in China is obviously lower. Then, we analyze the factors which influence labor's share, and further test and verify whether it is in accordance with the growth of economy. (Chapter 5).In the part of advices (Chapter 6), on the basis of theoretical and experiential analysis, advices and suggestions on how to increase labor's share in China and promote economic development has been brought forward.
