Study On The Relation Between Economic Development And Human Capital Of Three Northeast Provinces Of China

The headspring of economic development is an everlasting topic in economic field, and the economic development theory has become an important branch of economics. Economists have researched the economic development by constantly exploring it. The conceptions which ascribe the economic development to money-capital, material capital and size of labor force have become obsolete, while human capital has been thought as the important factor for economic development.Three northeast provinces of China are called the oldest son of People's Republic of China. Before carrying out the reform and opening-up policy, the economy of three northeast provinces of China has developed very fast. However, the speed of economic development of three northeast provinces of China has slowed down since the implementation of the reforming and opening policy. After announcing the policy to promote the old northeast industrial base, how to improve the economic development and increase the core economic competitiveness becomes the hottest issue in this area. Human capital is one of factors to improve economic development. Improving the human capital will promote the economic development of the old northeast industrial base.After reviewing interrelated classical theories, the thesis firstly analyze the status of economy and human capital in three northeast provinces of China. Then enact index system and establish database by choosing date of production gross, material capital gross and human capital gross between 1991 and 2005 with the human capital exterior model. Estimate regression equation of the three northeast provinces of China, Guangdong province and China by SPSS to prove the interrelation between economic development and human capital. Calculate the contribution rate of every factor. So acquire the economic increasing mode of the three northeast provinces of China. Through comparing to two different swatches, we get the relation between economic development and human capital. Finally, according to the above analysis, the thesis puts forward the suggestions on how to improve the level of human capital on points of view.
