| Regional economy has the most power of creativity, and its development is connected with national economy and the stability of our society .Each region has its own natural, social and economic situation. It is the final aim of regional economy development to get the most financial benefits, social benefits and the environmental benefits by optimizing industry structure and making good use of kinds of resources. The regional manager who has the right to control the regional development is charged with this aim. Promote regional economy development in township is the main way to build harmonious society, to narrow the gap between towns and villages, and to solve the problem about agriculture, villages and peasants. This paper aims to discuss the function of the government especially the township government in the development of regional economy.Taking the example of Wucun Town in Qufu City, this paper states the definition and the content of government function and the general knowledge of regional economy, and then analyzes the township government function in Wucun Town, such as the function of planning the development strategy and the function of management. At the same time the existing problems and their forms in the course of executing these functions are put forward, for instance, the local protection. Based on the above analysis, this article tries to find the reasons from the inner side and the outer. Finally, the thesis gives some ways to solve these problems, including perfecting the environment of regional economy, making reasonable plans for the region and prohibiting the short–term behavior of the government. |
