Research On Development Problems And Countermeasures Of Chinese Trust Industry

Trust as the only one that can cross the money market, capital market and industry market at the same time in the economic field, has been regarded as the four pillars with bank, security and insurance in the financial market. The trust industry in China has been reconsolidated and reorganized for several times since the restoration of the trust system in 1979. In the past few years, trust industry has played an increasingly important role in activating the financial market and its development has gained wide attention. With the "Measures for the Administration of Trust Companies" and the "Measures for the Administration of Trust Companies' Trust Plans of Assembled Funds" issued and implemented in 2007, as well as the completion of applying for reissuing a new financial license of those kept trust corporations, the trust industry in China has presented a brand-new systematic environment. We must eliminate the obstacles in the way of its growth from the inside and outside to get it to develop.This paper proceeds with the basic concept of trust, expatiates the trust industry's history,actuality and tries to give the direction it should lead to. Then the paper analyses the existing problems, especially those after consolidation, trying to find out what blocked its development from macro and micro's angle.By referring to experiences accumulated in foreign trust industry and combining it with the facts in China, it proposes some Countermeasures such as speeding up construction of law system, strengthening supervision, perfecting risk management system and developing trust businesses and so on. It is expected that with the new system, our trust industry may have a more brilliant future with the help of its operation advantages and active self-exploration.
