Study On The Financial Performance Evaluation Of Shipping Listed Companies Based On BP Neural Network

Shipping enterprises are economic organizations which use the ship, floating raft and other tools to transport passengers and goods in the river, lakes, reservoirs, waterways and sea to get profit. As the continuous improvement of China's international shipping business degree and the mature of the shipping market, the pace for the shipping enterprises enter the capital market also is accelerating. In recent years, China has more than 10 large and super-large shipping companies have entered the capital markets in Shanghai ,Hong Kong and other places. These enterprises has been made outstanding performance in the stock market and also got more and more people's attention. However, since most of China's shipping listed companies listed on not long, therefore, so far ,to build a more complete evaluation system of the shipping company in line with the characteristics of them has been in the ascendant on the stage. In view of the shipping companies listed in the stock market continue to present a strong trend, investors need to have a more complete financial performance evaluation system in order to evaluate the results of operations and business enterprises forecast the future development direction.Based on the clear view of the aspect of evaluation of the performance, under the premise of understanding of the development process of foreign enterprises in the performance evaluation and in-depth study of China's listed companies size fits performance evaluation and sub-sectors listed companies on the basis of performance evaluation, and considered shipping companies operating characteristics, establish the financial performance evaluation index system of the shipping company. On the issue of the various methods used in the evaluation, choose to use BP neural network. Then use the model constructed to evaluate the financial performance of shipping listed companies in 2007 and draw conclusions and recommendations. There are five chapters carried out in-depth study.The first chapter introduced the study background and significance of the shipping company's financial performance evaluation research, elaborated the content and method of thinking of this paper. ChapterⅡwhich is from the theoretical point of view, reviewed the relevant literature at home and abroad, including foreign corporate performance evaluation of the development process. ChapterⅢconstructed the system model of the listed companies performance evaluation in the shipping and trading areas on the basis of characteristics, building listed shipping company's financial performance evaluation index system, and paper used BP neural network model and application of the basic tenets of the steps introduced. Chapter IV used the previous chapter established the method of setting targets and indicators of the 2007 evaluation methods to evaluate the listed shipping company's financial performance, then concluded, to make recommendations. Chapter V of this paper is the sum up of this paper and the direction of further study prospects.
