The Study On The Competency Model For Entrepreneurs Based On Enterprise Life Cycle

Enterprises own its life cycle and are facing different problems and crises in various stages of the life cycle, so the requirement of the entrepreneurs'competency is different. This thesis makes a study of the enterprise life cycle theory and theory of entrepreneurs'competency and its main research content is the entrepreneurs'competency of the enterprise at different stages of the life cycle. It makes a preliminary study on constructing the competency model for entrepreneurs based on the enterprise life cycle.It constructs the general competency model for entrepreneurs by literature, survey, factor analysis which is including the personality traits, the cognitive features, the achievement features, the management features, and the impact features of five dimensions, a total of 28 elements. On this basis,the competency model for entrepreneurs based on the enterprise life cycle are constructed. 1.The competency model for entrepreneurs in newly established stage include: integrity, comprehensive analysis capability, judgment reasoning ability, keen insight, capture and the creation of market opportunities, to take risks, focus on quality, achievements desire, public relations social skills, the spirit of cooperation;2.The competency model for entrepreneurs in the growing stage include: the training and development of personnel, team-building ability, strategic planning capacity; 3.The competency model for entrepreneurs in the mature include: tenacious perseverance, comprehensive analysis capability, judgment and reasoning ability, keen insight, information collection, capture and the creation of market opportunities, to take risks, a sense of crisis, focus on quality, innovation capacity, the capability of cultural integration, strategic planning capacity, public relations social skills, and influence;4.The competency model for entrepreneurs in the declining include: tenacious perseverance, decisive, flexibility, comprehensive analysis capabilities, judgment and reasoning ability, keen insight, information gathering, to take risks, to capture and the creation of market opportunities, achievements desire ,ability to innovate, learning ability, team-building ability, the capability of cultural integration, strategic planning capacity, the spirit of cooperation, and influence.This thesis discusses the competency model for entrepreneurs at all stages of the enterprises life cycle from the enterprise life cycle perspective, which enable enterprises to understand the life cycle stage and the possibility of crisis fully, and make entrepreneurs to improving and enhancing the quality of the individual to meet requirements for the development of enterprises then overcome the crisis of various stages to extend the life span of enterprises. The study has important theoretical and practical significance in improving the competency theory, enhancing the quality of entrepreneurs, scientific selection, appointment, evaluation and training of entrepreneurs, and promoting the healthy development of enterprises, and so on.
