With the development of the information science and technology, the importance of material management evaluates greatly in the project management. The investment of the main material is about 60 to 70 percent in the construction project, so the material management is very important in the construction of hydropower project. Nowadays, the main materials are supplied by project proprietor. So effectual material management measures play an important role in controlling the process, the quality and the cost of the project.Combined with the basic theory and method of material management, the problem which needs to be solved in the material verification management system is analyzed in this thesis. The material ration, consumption and storage management is strictly controlled, and the closed-loop controlled program flow in material consumption is introduced in this thesis. The function which classifies and summarizes the consumption of the material and the completion of the project quantity has been designed for the final account of construction project. Decision support prediction algorithm is provided for the material requirement management and the consumption quota of the material. The modified moving average and exponential smoothing predictive methods which used very common in the time series forecasting method are proposed. So the decision support is given to the material management. Finally, the use-case analysis approach to analyze the requirements of the customers is applied in the thesis, the material verification management system based on the theory of material requirement management and storage management has been designed. The efficiency of management has been improved in using this system. The system realized in this thesis is of great significance to the hydropower project.
