Research On Chongqing's FDI Environment Utilizing

1990s, world economy's globalization and integration tide prompted the foreign direct investment (FDI) towards developing country to grow rapidly , FDI has already obtained wide recognition in various countries' economic development. With deep development of reform and opening-up & entering WTO, the absolute quantity of FDI China introduced has continuously surpassed USA to rank the first in the world. FDI has become the important strength, which impels our country's economic growth at high speed. In the new round international investment craze, Capital, technology and talents' flow tendency, is more decided by a city's investing environment rather than the region or government's superiority. Chongqing is the youngest municipality of China& the west industrial center. Till now, foreign investors have regarded Chongqing's economic & governmental environment excellent, resource& legal environment satisfactory, but scientific & technological environment comparatively unsatisfactory. In order to promote the regional economic development by making full use of FDI, we should do research on investment opportunity actively, boost city image, improve city function> marketing system and living service environment, combine educational investment with industrial investment while maximizing various counties' comparative advantages to the fullest.This paper analyzes the situation of Chongqing's FDI utilizing environment through combination of theory& demonstration, quantitative & qualitative, Macro view & Micro view, and discusses some strategies on improvement of Chongqing's FDI utilizing environment. This paper consists of 4 chapters. The first chapter sets forth the purpose and meaning on research. Second chapter discusses the characteristics and development tendency of international investment, and elaborates on its characteristics and corresponding tendency on scale,structure and flow . Third chapter introduces Chongqing's general situation first, and then states the meaning of improving Chongqing's FDI utilizing environment, at last evaluates Chongqing's hard,soft Comprehensive investing environment from location factor,infrastructure status,economics development status,scientific and technological cultural environment and legislative policy. 4 Chapter explains the disadvantages of Chongqing's investing environment based on the 3 chapter first, and then shows some strategies on improving Chongqing's FDI utilizing environment, furthermore discusses and gives suggestion on outstanding hot issues of investing environment in recent years.
