| China and South Korea have made rapid development in various fields since they established friendly and cooperative diplomatic relations on August 24, 1992. With the development of bilateral trade, there occurs a high degree of trade integration between the two countries. Trade structure can not only embody the economic and trade relations between the two countries and the distribution of trade interests, but also reflect their mode of production and trade and their status in the international division of labor. The studies on the trade structure of China and South Korea are of great theoretical and practical significance.Based on the theories of international trade, the paper takes as its subject the Sino-Korea trade structure. By combining empirical analysis and practical application, the analysis of the present situation is made, the problems and their causes are found out, and to optimize the trade structure of China and South Korea, a number of strategies are put forward.This paper is divided into six parts. In Introduction, the significance of this research, the structure of the paper, and research methods are introduced. The second part is a summary of previous studies of the international trade. In the third part, a large amount of data is collected. With the help of the index of comparative advantage, intra-industry trade index, etc. an empirical study is made on the status quo of Sino-South Korea trade structure, only to find that inter-industry trade and intra-industry trade co-exist, the share of intra-industry trade has increased gradually. The fourth part, from the perspective of the Chinese side, presents the existing problems of Sino-South Korea trade structure. Part five proposes some strategies to optimize the trade structure from three aspects: government policy, industrial structure and technological cooperation.It is of practical significance to study the trade structure between China and South Korea, which can not only promote the sustainable development of China-South Korea trade, but also have some implications for our own industrial structure upgrade, export competitiveness enhancement and the foreign trade structure optimization. |
