China and South Korea are important trade partners, having a good foundation on bilateral economic and trade relations. In recent years, electromechanical products trade has been growing rapidly and has become the focus of bilateral trade. But there exists long-standing trade deficit between China and South Korea and trends to enlarge. This paper begins with trade status to explore the import and export volume, change in structure and trade balance on Sino-Korea electromechanical products in recent years. With empirical analysis of competitive advantage, trade complementarities and extent of intra-industry trade, this paper tries to give out some policy recommendations.
