The main research content of the paper is the importance for China Construction Bank to develop individual banking business, the strategic positioning and choice of individual banking business development of China Construction Bank and the development strategies of the bank for individual banking business.Based on summarizing the development condition of individual banking business of China Construction Bank and analyzing the main problems existing in developing individual banking service of the bank, as well as analyzing the development features and tendencies of individual banking business of commercial banks home and abroad, the paper points out that individual banking business will become the new profit-increasing point of Construction Bank. So quickening individual banking business development is the necessary choice of Construction Bank.1. The paper illustrates the development strategy of individual banking business of Construction Bank. The bank should have a clear development positioning for developing individual banking business. Positioning of clients should change from same treatment to differentiated treatment; positioning of products should change from traditional debt business to diversified strategy emphasizing individual loans business, credit card business, middle business and financing business; channel positioning should change from non-key area to differentiated key area strategy.2. The paper points out that emphasizing core business development is the development key of individual banking business. It points out that individual deposit business is the basis, individual loan and individual financing are the bright spots, credit card business is the strategic key, and individual middle business is the business with great potential in order to stress development of main profit source business of individual banking.3. It emphasizes that innovation is the driving force for the continuous development of individual banking business. The paper points out that innovation of individual banking products is the key, innovation of service means is the guarantee, and procedure reformation is the auxiliary tool. In the field of financial service, those whose products innovates quickly can retain a leading advantage, win initiative in market competition and gain high profit from product innovation. 4. It puts forward carrying out individual banking client manager system. The paper points out that client manager of individual banking is a kind of wholly new service post responsible for marketing and operation innovation.
