The measures, distinguishes and controls of financial risk in company has been researched by home and abroad scholars. Artificial neural network is a new research about estimating financial risk of companies. Artificial neural network had higher accuracy and precision comparatively than other methods in estimating financial risk of companies, because of its characteristic for non-linearity and self-adaptability.Nonprofit organization is a third branch, which is different from the company. It is confronted with certain financial risk by developing itself in the using of debt in these years. Can the artificial neural network be used to forecast financial risk of nonprofit organization, though it has notable effect in estimating financial risk of company? If it can be, is it necessary for us to adjust it to forecast financial risk of Nonprofit? These problems are the purposes that this article wants to research.In the process of transplanting BP neural networks , this article changed the common pattern of BP neural networks, judging by the principle of BP neural networks and the financial characteristic of nonprofit organizations. The article built a BP neural network with temporal structure of some financial targets, which used to forecast the changes of these financial targets, and then forecast financial risk. Since there were lots of nonprofit organizations, the article took universities as an example. The article introduced the process of using the BP neural networks in the university. It build a network structure including a importing tier, a connotative tier and an exporting tier. The discovered said that, BP neural networks with temporal structure could forecast the transformation of these financial targets, and it got higher accuracy.It can be seen that the BP neural networks can not only apply to enterprise, but also apply to nonprofit organizations in warning financial risk. Because of the differences between enterprise and nonprofit organizations, in the process of transplanting BP neural networks, we should Change its form in order to let the BP neural networks fit to estimating financial risk of bodies.
