In the context of international financial crisis, the paper, relying on Qingdao Sino Machinery & Mold Co. Ltd. (in the following it is short for "QSMM"), has studied problems encountered in competitive strategy during its development, so as to provide ideas and methods for QSMM competitive strategy formulation and implementation.The thesis is divided into six parts. First it expounds the theory of competitive strategy. In the following ,by linking with mold industry in China's current development status quo, development prospects as well as QSMM at their own production, management, marketing, technique and research ,finance and other aspects of competitiveness, the essay conducts a detailed study on kinds of internal and external environment faced by the company from the macro-environment, the micro-environment and industry situation, and suggests QSMM take low-cost competition strategy. Finally, from a number of aspects, the paper further explores measures and means QSMM can take for the necessary to implement low-cost competitive strategy, and provides some reference to improve the company's current competitive position and to look for oppoitunities of transformation from the conservative Competitive Strategy to the offensive Competitive Strategy.Company strategy selection is directly related to the company's survival of the fittest in the competition. While in China many small and medium-sized industries now are facing similar industry structure and competitive environment like QSMM, therefore, research on the competitive strategy of QSMM also has some revelations to those small and medium enterprises.
