Automobile is the machinery that has changed the world, the wheel that propels the society forward, the engine that sustains economic growth, and the propeller that upgrades the industrial structure. When we turn to the developed countries, whose automobile industry has already had a history of a hundred years, we can see that their automobile consumer credit is now developing into various forms, which keep pace with the present automobile development. According to statistical data abroad, 80 percent new cars in U.S.A are bought through the automobile consumer credit, in Germany that number is 70 percent and 60 to 70 percent in India as well. Our nation's automobile consumer credit has made a great improvement ever since it started in 1998, but having been carried out just for a short period of time, until now, this kind of consumer credit in our country is still in its fledgling and experimental stage. The automobile industry in our nation has entered a new era and become another pillar industry that can prompt economic growth after real estate industry. Our backwardness at automobile consumer credit is an obstacle to the development of automobile industry, and, at the same time, the rapid development of automobile market is of indispensable importance to our nation's industry. Therefore, it is crucial to improve automobile consumer credit market, thus the automobile industry can boost, moreover, it also matters most in assuring a continuously and fast developed national economy.The automobile consumer credit is the fulcrum between automobile sales and consumption, we can pry the"earth"which is automobile industry using this point. How to carry out automobile financial service in our country, whether foreign country's development modes of automobile financial service should be applied in our country are all issues that merit in-depth investigation.So the main purposes of this article are to make a comparison research between Chinese automobile consumer credit and that of foreign countries through some monographic survey and study; acquire experience from the analysis of foreign country's successful mode of automobile consumer credit; summarize the factors that restrict our automobile consumer credit, and put forward some relevant countermeasures and suggestions in view of our existing situation. This article is divided into four parts.The first chapter of this article is exordium. It introduces the background and significance of the chosen subject which is automobile consumer credit, explains concisely the paper's research method and the problems to be solved, and finally goes to document summary, which will elaborate on the research history of our automobile consumer credit and the state of research.Through a comparison analysis of our country's automobile consumer credit and that of foreign countries, we gain the knowledge that according to the current situation of automobile consumer credit in China, the problems are to be followed:(1)the analysis of feasibility of developing automobile consumer credit in our country; (2) the introduction of foreign country's successful modes of automobile consumer credit; (3) the analysis of the factors that restrict our automobile consumer credit; (4) the countermeasures and suggestions to improve our country's automobile consumer credit after using foreign country's advanced modes for reference. The practice and theoretical research are constantly provide the automobile consumer credit experience and guidance, but the environment always changes, the policy from the government consistently push out, various methods wash out in the practice neither can solve the essential problems. Rapidly and healthy development of automobile industry in China needs the objective requirements to provide financial services. The rapidly development of automobile market plays an important role in the development of industrial. Therefore, the improvement of automobile consumption credit market, in order that driving the development of the automobile industry and increasing economic growth are very important.In the second chapter we give a systematic introduction of theories concerning automobile consumer credit. First, we shall define the theories about consumer credit and automobile consumer credit; then, make some concrete analysis of the effect that automobile consumer credit will bring on our automobile industry and economy and finally illustrate the profitably objective advantages of carrying out automobile consumer credit in light of our country's own social and economic conditionsEnlarging automobile consumer demand plays an important role in promoting automobile industry and even the whole nation's continuous and fast economic development. Automobile consumer credit's effects on our automobile industry are mainly represented in the following ways: increasing the sales volume of automobiles, enabling automobile stock property to realize larger economic benefits, promoting automobile consumption's position in our market and strengthening competitive power of our own automobile enterprises. Automobile consumer credit's influences on our economy are: namely, a major power to propel economic growth, its multiplier effect on national economy, its influence on present economic situation, its effect on the establishment of finance and individual credit system. The objective advantages to carry out automobile consumer credit in our country include: each statistical indicator meeting the criteria, energetic support from government's policy and the analysis of automobile consumer credit's development situation in our country so that automobile consumer credit can operate properly in our countryThis article laid great emphasis on the third chapter. We first introduce the reasons that lead to the success of automobile consumer credit in foreign countries, together with its modes, then, we summarize and analyze the current situation of automobile consumer credit in our country, and finally point out factors that defy the development of automobile consumer credit in our country, according to the foreign countries'experiences from success and the analysis of the current situation in our country.In this chapter, we shall introduce the development course of automobile consumer credit in foreign countries. At present, the automobile consumer credit in western countries has been mature. After sorting out the factors that lead to their success, I think that they can be classified into two categories: subjective and objective. We can take America and Japan as examples, and elaborate on their modes of operating automobile consumer credit. The development course of our automobile consumer credit can be divided into four stages: start, development, adjustment, and steady competition. In our country, the financial institutions involved in automobile consumer credit are mainly commercial banks, automobile finance corporations, insurance companies, automobile distributors, and the finance companies of automobile groups, etc. From the above analysis, we can draw the conclusion that the factors inhibiting automobile consumer credit in our country are featured by the following three factors: borrowers are consumers; suppliers are loan institutions, and policy.Chapter four is the end of this article. According to first three chapter's analysis, it will put forward countermeasures on how to improve our automobile consumer credit, in light of our country's concrete conditions.Last year our nation's GDP per person reached as high as $3200. Now it is the golden time for our country to develop automobile industry, in which, consumer credit is an important method. In promoting automobile consumer credit, what matters most is knowing how to eliminate the factors that put sand in the wheels of its development. The expansion and perfection of automobile consumer credit market requires a collective effort. So in this article, I appeal that a powerful propaganda is needed to spread knowledge on finance, demand for automobile consumer credit should be enlarged, appropriate legal and policy environments must be created for the sake, and countermeasures should be come up with in order to improve financial institution. The motive power for a promising automobile industry is the continuous development of automobile financial service and consumer credit, and the same is also true for economic growth and social progress. In light of our nation's current situation and consumption structure, energetic development of automobile consumer credit is of practical significance to improve economic growth, nurture new economic growth points and hot spots for consumption, and will certainly enable more and more common people to enjoy happiness and pleasure brought by automobile.
