This paper is a comparative study of; the economic models, strategies, objectives, and the results from Mexico and China, an analysis of different perspectives of the economic bilateral relation. It is trying to identify possible alternatives for the economic relation using the characteristics and needs of both countries. The title of the research shows that it is trying to propose an alternative model in the bilateral relation searching for the cooperation and strategic alliances with mutual benefits. The comparative analysis is designed to identify how beside the similar characteristics in the economic objectives and strategies of both countries, when the main idea is a commercial opening to attract capitals and exports manufactures in the global market, the results are complete different. China has been able to grow constantly since the new reform applies, a constant development in technology, education, trade, and reducing the levels of poverty are the results of China. Mexico has not been able to keep the growth of its economy, still focus its exports to USA and has not been able to reduce the poverty in the country. China in the meanwhile, has been able to diversify its exports, the quantity and the quality of the Chinese exports are improving and it is using the global market for the distribution of all its productsThe study shows that the contrast in the results of both countries is because of the different strategies that are been applying, China has a development based on the control of its opening reforms and the market, there is a deep participation of the government in all the processes. Mexico is using a neoliberal model with a reduced strategy, where the economic process is under the control of the market. In the bilateral relation we can see a clear disproportion with a disadvantage position for Mexico in the present time. The analyses of both economies also show how the possibilities to change the bilateral relation are little, and under the present circumstances, because of the economic structures, the balance of the relation seems improbable. The research is trying to propose a different strategy of cooperation thinking in the characteristics of both countries, the ability of China in reach the markets, the capital, and the technology, trying to combine it with the characteristic of the rural areas of Mexico.
