In the 1980s the Government of China put forward to "market for technology" strategy, with the hope that attracting foreign investment and learning the advanced technology in exchange with some of the domestic market. But the practice of nearly 20 years shows the strategy of poor results. Faced with increasingly enhanced constraints of the resources and environmental, accelerate the increase the ability of independent innovation, is the need of speeding up the transformation of the mode of economic growth, and promoting the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, enhancing overall national strength and competitiveness of China.In this paper, the cases are chosen because they are successful typical in independent innovation and technological leapfrogging of the Pearl River Delta. Huawei Company is the leader of telecommunications equipment manufacturing industry and high-tech enterprises of China and large private enterprises. Galanz is the representatives of engaging from OEM to owning brand of self, by decreasing production costs and product prices with the purpose of expansion quickly in order to become the leader of domestic and international microwave industry. Thus we choice these companies as cases of objects, trying to explain the technical development path of the high-tech enterprises of China under independent innovation strategy with the theory of disruptive innovation. The main conclusions of this study is fit for high-tech enterprises mainly of Manufacturing Industry in the Pearl River DeltaBy clarify the inherent logic among the market for technology, the theory of disruptive innovation and independent innovation strategy and technological leapfrogging. This paper seeks to give advise to the high-tech enterprises under the independent innovation strategy: disrupt the leader of the industry by the manner of technological leapfrogging. In the process, with attention to two points: link technology with market strategy, link new markets with low-end disruption.
