Research On The Correlativity Between Enterprise Technology Innovation And FDI Input

On the foundation of the analysis of domestic and international achievements, the dissertation discusses enterprise technology innovation theory and foreign direct investment theory,the mechanism of technology spillover of FDI and the measurement method of technology spillover of FDI. Moreover, the dissertation carries through a deep research on the relationship between FDI input and enterprise technology innovation in Shanghai city.First of all, the dissertation reviews FDI theory and enterprise technology innovation theory, and summarises the literatures of the relationship between FDI input and enterprise technology innovation. In succession, the dissertation supposes the mechanism of effects on enterprise technology innovation from FDI input. These are the theoretical fundament of the dissertation.Then on the basis of theoretical research, the dissertation takes Shanghai city for example and makes an empirical research about Shanghai city. Firstly, it analyses the present situations of FDI input and enterprise technology innovation in Shanghai city. Secondly, on the basis of the results that had been got by the former scholars, the dissertation advances the measurement method of technology spillover of FDI input, and demonstrates the measurement and standards of technology innovation.Finally, on the foundation of the above analysis and research, the dissertation makes a deep research on the relationship between FDI input and enterprise technology innovation in Shanghai city. Firstly, the dissertation analyses the causal relationships between enterprise technology innovation and FDI input from developed countries and undeveloped countries respectively, and discovers that in Shanghai city, the FDI input from developed countries could explain the change of the level of enterprise technology innovation, while the level of enterprise technology innovation could not explain the FDI input from developed countries. At the same time, it can be found that in Shanghai city, the FDI input from undeveloped countries could not result in the change of the level of enterprise technology innovation, while the level of enterprise technology innovation could result in the change of FDI input from undeveloped countries. And the dissertation carries on an analysis about the above conclusions. Then, through analyzing how the FDI input from developed countries makes an effect on the level of enterprise technology innovation and how the level of enterprise technology innovation makes an effect on the FDI input from undeveloped countries by dynamic model and static model, it can be found that the FDI input from developed countries makes a negative effect on the level of enterprise technology innovation in short term and makes a positive effect on the level of enterprise technology innovation in middle term. And the total effect of the FDI input from developed countries on the level of enterprise technology innovation is positive in long term in Shanghai city. At the same time, in Shanghai city, the level of enterprise technology innovation only makes a positive effect on the input of FDI from undeveloped countries in short term.
