Along with the development of economic globalization, international competition shows the trend of increasingly globalized competition. With multinational companiesthe as the main body foreign direct investment plays an increasingly important role in global competition. Since the reform and opening up, the scale of foreign direct investment in our country inceasingly expands, which also plays an important role in the economic growth of our country. With the influence of world financial crisis, international capital mobility becomes slow which affects the attraction of our country's foreign direct investment. Based on the research results of the domestic and foreign scholars, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, this thesis analyzes current situation of foreign direct investment in our country and the relationship with economic growth. Then some relevant countermeasures are put forward for how to better utilize foreign direct investment in our country in order to develop the economic in the crisis situations.This thesis is divided into six parts. The first part introduces the background and significance of research, research methods and adopted framework. The second part introduces the related concepts and theories and literature review. The third part from the perspective of international analyzes the global trend and development characteristics of foreign direct investment. The fourth part analyzes foreign direct investment in our country from the overall size, the trade, the source, the district distribution and the mode, to present the situation of foreign direct investment. The fifth part uses cointegration test, granger causality test and other econometric methods, to analyze the relation between foreign direct investment and economic growth, and establish the error correction model. The sixth part combining the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis, puts forward relevant countermeasures for how to effectively utilize foreign direct investment.
