Research On The Profit Mode Of The Fourth Party Logistics Enterprises

With the development of information technology, the rapid change of competitive environment and economic globalization, logistics has become the focus of attention for enterprises to enhance the competitiveness. In this paper, the Fourth Party Logistics is to be explored in such a background. The research of the Fourth Party Logistics is in the period of exploration, but has not formed a systematic theory. This paper aims at making a systematic research of the profit model of the 4PL, enhancing people's knowledge toward it and giving some theoretic guide to some enterprises.Combined some management theory of modern enterprises and present economical environment, this paper discusses the development of operational model of logistics and analyses the reason of its production. On the basis of classification and conclusion of different definition of logistics, the concept of logistics is outlined, and the characteristics of it is analysed. This paper analyses deeply the profit model of 4PL, presents in detail the basic theory, basis, core and conditions of it. The core part of this paper is to analyse the operation model of 4PL, including the basic thought, objective, customers, contents, organization of it. The organization type of possible 4PL services providers is to be discusses in details. Theoperation mode is put emphasize, with three types of operation——virtual, unionand entity, and a positive analysis on the basis of a case.In the end of this paper, the perspective and possible problems of 4PL is analyzed, with some suggestions about its development.
